162A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Everyday Life, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend past the stands involving Brosna Queen, ridden by R.A. Doyle, Everyday Life, ridden by J. Smith and Vroomvroomboo, ridden by C.D Smithers, where it appeared Brosna Queen got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.A. Doyle stated that his mare touched off the railing after getting pressure from the outside. J. Smith stated that his mount followed the horse in front slightly inwards and felt that he had made no contact. C.D Smithers stated that his mount came in slightly, which he immediately corrected and that there was enough room on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards gave J. Smith the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

162B Randox H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed E. Finegan, rider of Arcland, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that E. Finegan was in breach of R.10.3.(h) (arm above shoulder height) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

162C1 Denvir's Of Downpatrick (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Dunne, rider of Hitthehayson, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his first strike was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J. Dunne was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Hakensack trained by P.J. Rothwell was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Go Avel trained by Francis Casey was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

Mr N. McParlan, rider of Western Model, trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was outpaced early on.

162C2 Denvir's Of Downpatrick (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined True Harmony, trained by Seamus Neville, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled a right front shoe but to otherwise be post race normal.

Mr O. McGill, rider of Antoine De Paris, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Mr S. Connor, rider of Another Glendaars, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left up until the halfway point.

162F Kevin Ross Bloodstock H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Sarah Kavanagh, rider of Fr Gilligansvoyge (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the Whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Sarah Kavanagh was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her clean record in this regard they suspended her for three racedays.

Kevin Healy, rider of Miss Lia, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out early on.

162G Tote Guarantee (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

C.D Smithers, rider of Hurricane Leaf, trained by James Andrew Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left.

Mr D. McGill, rider of Mule Skinner, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.D Smithers, rider of Hurricane Leaf, concerning his use of the whip in he closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that the first three strikes were for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.D Smithers was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the home straight involving Hurricane Leaf, ridden by C.D Smithers and Katie Can't Count, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins where it appeared Katie Can't Count had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr P.W. Mullins stated that he felt slight pressure and had to take back. C.D Smithers stated that his charge hung very badly and came out a small bit despite his efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
